Author Tim DahlbergTim Dahlberg is the boxing writer for The Associated Press and widely recognized as one of the leading boxing journalists in the world. Dahlberg saw his first fight at the age of 16 when a neighbor gave him tickets to the Sonny Liston-Leotis Martin fight, one that also featured a young George Foreman on the undercard, at the old International Hotel in Las Vegas.

Dahlberg began covering fights in 1979 and has covered some 300 world title fights, as well as more than 2,000 Olympic amateur fights. He is the winner of the 1999 Nat Fleischer award given by the Boxing Writers of America for excellence in boxing journalism, and winner of multiple other Associated Press Sports Editors and BWAA writing awards.
